Fuego Restaurante y Cantina is Mahekal’s highly rated oceanfront restaurant and bar with numerous awards. Some of our accolades include Best Dining with a View in the Riviera Maya, by InMexico. The vibrant menu features an ever-changing array of Mexican cuisine, but we also feature American, Latin American, and other favorites from around the world, all with Chef Carlos Chimal's Mexican touch.
When possible, community-supported ingredients or "farm-to-table" are prepared in a Tulum-style wood-burning oven and served in a relaxed atmosphere. Executive Chef Chimal and his team prepare every inspired dish over the open flames of the wood-fired oven grill for an authentic regional flavor, including breakfast specialties and deserts!
Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, the open-air restaurant features natural, simple décor. Antique wood furniture and palapa-style roof contrast with modernistic elements of glass, brick, and ceramic barrel tile to create a space that’s equal parts inviting and energetic.
Our cocktails are handcrafted, and our wine list highlights many international specialties, usually ranked by the world's best wine experts.

Dinner: 7pm - 10 pm (Reservations Required)
