How We’re Preparing for Your Return

There’s no denying that 2020 has been a tough year. 

The entire team at Mahekal Beach Resort is dedicated to delivering our guests a superior experience whenever they choose to visit. So being unable to welcome happy, adventure-seeking guests from all over the world to our Mexico beach resort has certainly been an adjustment for all of us. 

However, make no mistake — we haven’t been idle during the time you’ve been away. We’ve been looking forward to having you back just as much as you’ve no doubt been dreaming of our Playa del Carmen resort. Which is why we’re doing everything we can to ensure that as soon as our doors are open again, we’ll be more ready for you than ever — not just with breathtaking beaches, dynamite dining, and stellar service, but also with updated health and safety practices that promise peace of mind and a safe stay.

Guest safety and well-being have always been our #1 priority at Mahekal Beach Resort. So while you’ve been away, we’ve changed the way we operate to provide you with a safe and carefree stay. We’ve implemented staff and guest screenings, as well as extensive cleaning and sanitization protocols, and we’ve reconfigured our facilities to allow for comfortable social distancing. We’re also offering improved check-in/checkout procedures to provide you with a seamless experience. 

Thanks to these changes, you’ll be able to enjoy the best of Mahekal. The 920-foot beach in front of the property, Fuego Pool, Itzi Pool, and Revive Spa will all be open and operating at reduced capacity so that you can lounge worry-free. The fitness center will also be open, and guests will be able to sign up for a time slot in advance in order to facilitate social distancing. Because of their smaller size, hot tubs will not be open immediately.

Additionally, our reservation and management teams have adjusted our booking and cancellation policies in order to ensure that if any obstacles arise that prevent you from visiting us as planned, we’re able to work with you to make adjustments — so you can reserve your stay with absolute confidence.

So, with our property and policies ready to go, we’re extremely excited to reopen on October 1st. Given the preparations we’ve undertaken, Mahekal Beach Resort will be both the oceanside jewel you’ve come to know and love, and a revitalized Riviera Maya resort at the same time. When you arrive, you can rest assured that we’ve taken every precaution to see to it that your stay with us is as relaxing as it is risk-free.
